Dr. Sukanya Ghosh has worked in the field of planning for urban area with particular reference to urban poor and informal sector of over 33 years.

She has worked in the field of spatial planning with municipal authorities for preparation of development plans, slum improvement plan/projects and impact assessment; worked in participatory planning and livelihood promotions for sustainable and inclusive development, poverty alleviation and housing; managed large scale, rehabilitation and disaster preparedness projects; involved in training programmes for ULBs/State Govt. personnel in the State of Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand; handled National and International Training programmes of HSMI; coordinated HUDCO Awards for Best Practices, published a number of papers in national and international journals.

Mr. Surendra Singhai has more than 37 years of experience in Housing & Urban Development Policy, Programme Formulations, Project Financing, Project Appraisal and Default Monitoring.

He worked as Regional Business Head of HUDCO Regional Office of Raipur & Bhopal and was responsible for HUDCO’s operations in the state of Chhattisgarh and MP. He also worked in project consultancy and was associated in preparation of Master plans.

Presently, he is General Manager in HSMI and looking after Training Programme of Overseas Professionals sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) under ITEC. Ms. Varsha Punhani is heading the Centre for Urban Poverty, Slums and Livelihood at HSMI . She is an architect-planner with over 33 years of experience in the areas of housing and infrastructure finance as well as architectural and planning consultancy services.

Having spent a significant period of her career in the states of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh in addition to having worked in the Corporate Office New-Delhi, she brings to the table a vast field experience and understanding of policy issues. Her areas of interest include pooled financing for funding infrastructural services, cost effective technologies as a tool for addressing the housing shortage in semi-urban and rural areas, and architectural design of social housing schemes. Besides, she has been involved in the preparation of Site Management Plan for World Heritage Site, Tourist Circuit Plan for Buddhist sites and cadastral and GIS based Development Plans for small and medium sized towns of Bihar and Madhya-Pradesh.

Ms. Neetu B Malhotra is an architect with specialisation in Urban Planning having work experience of over 24 years. She worked as a Project Associate in Urban Planning Dept. of SPA-Delhi. Prior to her working period in HUDCO, she worked in RITES on New Township Project, Feasibility report based on opinion surveys conducted for implementation of Rehabilitation Scheme for the MRTS project.

After joining HUDCO, she worked in Design and Development Wing of HUDCO and was actively involved in planning, design and coordination, up till construction stage of various building projects. She has worked on several projects in the fields of office designing, institutional and housing schemes, Tourist Development projects and preparation of DPR for BSUP and IHSDP projects. In her current work profile, she is involved as a faculty in the training programmes conducted under the “Centre for Sustainable Habitat”, HSMI.

Ms. Neena Jain has experience of 31 years in Audit, Finance & Accountants. She is working in HUDCO since Oct, 1990. She has also worked with Chartered Accountant firm before joining HUDCO about one year. Over a period of last 33 years, she has worked in various departments of HUDCO including Resource Mobilization, Retails Finance Unit, Internal Audit and Loan accounts at Head Office. She was also in-charge of the HUDCO Niwas Unit Delhi (NCR). She has also worked as Finance Head of Ro NCR. Presently, since last two years, she is working as a finance head in HUDCO’s HSMI.
