Energy efficiency/ Sustainability Quotient
❑ Almost all materials used in the construction revolves
around the idea of sustainability and energy efficiency.
Areca splits and bamboo are used instead of iron and
steel for reinforcement, Jute mat was used as a
second layer of roof over which cement was
plastered. The jute mat acts as an insulation against
possible cracks
❑ Usage of cement has been reduced by 40 %
compared to traditional construction.
❑ Usage of steel has been reduced by 95 %
❑ Usage of bricks can be reduced by 2%
❑ Energy and power consumption is very low in the
completed structure because of more windows and
