ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

HUDCO Design Awards was launched in 2012 as an extended expression of HUDCO’s institutional
commitment towards inclusive and sustainable urban development. Since then it is an annual
event in HUDCO guided by the institutional belief to honour the innovative and creative works of
architects, engineers, planners and other professionals contributing to the cause of sustainable urban
development. The publication of HUDCO Design Awards 2020-21 not just marks the successful
completion of the event but also is a reflection of keen enthusiasm of the urban professional and
the untiring team effort.

We take this opportunity to offer sincere gratitude to Shri Kamran Rizvi (IAS), Chairman and
Managing Director, Hudco for his valuable suggestions and profound guidance in the conduct of

the event.

Our sincere and special thanks are due to Shri M. Nagaraj, Director, Corporate Planning, HUDCO
for constantly encouraging and guiding us through the course of this event, despite his busy schedule.

The overwhelming response to HUDCO Design Award 2020-21 despite Covid 19 pandemic deserves
a special mention. I would like to place on record our appreciation for participating professionals
whose support made the event possible and has been a source of inspiration for the HUDCO team.
Our special thanks to the eminent jury members for sparing their valuable time and support in
selection of winners, honoring their innovation and excellence.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge the contribution of the Hudco Consultancy and Planning Team
for their diligent efforts towards making the HUDCO Design Awards 2020-21 a success. Support
extended by other Hudco departments viz. Finance, Public Relations, IT wing and Administration
who worked towards making this a successful event is duly acknowledged.
