Slum Free City Plan of Action for Gangtok, Sikkim
- GIS based plan was prepared based on robust tenability and vulnerability analysis.
- Curative strategy as well as preventive strategy for a slum free Gangtok.
Development Plan for Khargone, Madhya Pradesh
The preparation of the cadastral based GIS Development Plan (Vikas Yojana) involved integrated planning for the development and growth of the Khargone Planning Area, with a twenty-year perspective.
New Jammu Township
The New Jammu Township
- A satellite township proposal based upon strong environmental and sustainability considerations.
- The project received “The Prime Minister’s National Award for Excellence in Urban Planning & Design.”
Tourism Master Plan for Tamil Nadu
The master plan provided:
- Comprehensive strategy for tourism development with road map for implementation.
- Proposals for new circuit development for tourism.
- Concept for destination development for selected clusters.
Comprehensive Development Plan for Vrindavan Township, Uttar Pradesh
The project involved preparing the landuse plan, and detailed layout planning including Infrastructure details for a site of 1200 Hectares.
Appraisal and Monitoring
- HUDCO has been providing invaluable technical support in scrutiny of project DPRs, monitoring of physical and financial progress of various flagship programmes of the Government of India.
- HUDCO has assisted the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in scrutiny of projects (both site and desk) for consideration of sanction of Central funds by the Central Sanctioning & Monitoring Committee (CSMC), Govt. of India.
- HUDCO has also provided support for monitoring of physical and financial progress of various Govt. of India schemes and also conducted quality checks of assets created with financial assistance of Govt. of India.

Promoting Housing for All & Urban Development
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U)
HUDCO role in Government of India scheme includes scrutiny of projects submitted by State Governments under PMAY. Besides, HUDCO is the Central Nodal Agency for Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). Further, for meeting fund requirement of State/ULB share HUDCO also offers viability gap funding/ loan assistance to meet the requirement beyond the grant available from Government of India. HUDCO so far has funded 13 schemes in the 5 States – Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala with total loan assistance of Rs. 14,250 crore, out of which an amount of Rs. 12,491 crore has been disbursed covering 9,07,864 Dwelling Units.
Desk-cum-site scrutiny of DPRs for Centrally Sponsored verticals of PMAY-HFA
HUDCO assists the MoHUA in scrutiny and inspection of sample projects / DPRs under the 3 verticals of - Housing for All (HFA), i.e., Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), In-situ Slum Redevelopment’s (ISSR) & Beneficiaries Led Construction (BLC) projects, before the projects are put up for consideration of sanction of central assistance by the Ministry. Up to 31st October 2023, HUDCO has cumulatively carried out site and desk scrutiny for DPRs under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – (Urban), 620 projects with project cost of Rs. 59,767.2446 crore having Central share of Rs. 18,900.2931 crore for total 12.79 lakh DUs in 444 town/cities under 34 States/UTs of India. These projects include 62 AHP projects, 536 BLC projects and 22 ISSR projects.
