Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) plays an important role in staff housing by providing financial assistance and technical support for the planning, construction, and improvement of residential housing for employees of government bodies, public sector undertakings, and urban local authorities. 1. Term Loan for Central Govt. Employee Welfare Housing Organization Bhopal Scheme
   Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation (CGEWHO) has approached Housing and Urban Development Corporation for financial assistance to support the allotment of land and development of housing for Central Government employees. With a loan assistance of ₹92 crore from HUDCO, the project proposes the development of 144 dwelling units comprising well-planned 3 BHK and 4 BHK houses on the identified plot. The project will contribute to improving access to quality housing for government employees, promote organized residential development, and support long-term social security and welfare of the workforce. At a broader level, it strengthens institutional housing initiatives in India by ensuring planned urban growth, enhancing living standards, and reinforcing the role of public sector financing in meeting the housing needs of salaried middle-income groups.
2. Financial Assistance to Punjab Police Housing Corporation Limited for Construction of various types of Police Buildings in the state of Punjab
   The proposed project, funded by Housing and Urban Development Corporation with a loan assistance of ₹415.98 crore, aims at strengthening the physical infrastructure of the Punjab Police. The project includes construction of 14 new police stations, upgradation of 8 existing police station buildings across 7 districts, development of 9 police posts, 5 office buildings for Bureau of Investigation officials, new police lines, a firing range, and allied works. This initiative will enhance operational efficiency and improve working conditions for police personnel.
