URBAN DESIGN AND REGIONAL PLANNING, INNER CITY
 REVITALIZATION & CONSERVATION

Survey and Mapping: A detailed survey was carried out The implementation for the project is an ongoing process

for mapping of buildings, streets, movement patterns,
activities and physical infrastructure. This helped to
identify potential activities and revitalization that can be
proposed in the area. A survey was also conducted for the
112 households in the study area of the Pol with the
objective to understand the socio-economic background
of the community as well as the perception of the
residents. It was conducted by the adolescent girls trained
for the purpose of surveying on mobile application called
“Social cops”. The use of the application was done to Schematic Proposal

workshops were carried out to engage the community in

with planning and urban design experts from CEPT
University, MHT developed a conceptual and schematic
design for Dhal ni Pol, based on the inputs received from
the engagement workshops. These concepts and ideas
were again shared and discussed with the community to
form the basis for the final detailed design. A special team
of expert sub-consultants were engaged in preparing the
detailed infrastructure and engineering designs for the Execution Stretches
