Reduction In Radiation through
Slabs
• The horizontal surface is also protected by
using composite roof which reduces the
amount of heat radiating inside.
• Vertical and horizontal surfaces are both
handled to reduce heat radiated.
• In extreme summer, the hospital shows
temperature reduction of 13° Celsius as
compared to hospital of similar orientation.
• This composite roof acts as a thermal mass
consisting of an insulating material such as
glass wool, placed between the cement
sheets.
• Thus, it further reduces the temperature
within the built space.
