THE CHALLENGE

The Tali historic precinct is witnessing threats due to rapid
commercialization and lack of awareness about heritage. The Tali
chira, which forms the central focus of the settlement, is now
in much neglected state. It is a necessity to impose rules and
legislation for the upkeep of heritage character and grandeur. Issues
of environmental degradation due to waste disposal, rainwater
drainage and vehicular congestion need to be addressed along with
development programs.
