PROPOSED PLAN


            Grey  cement  pavers,  cobble  stones  and granite
            stones are used as flooring for outdoors whereas
            in the indoors existing terracotta tiles have been
            retained.  The joinery  details made of wood and
            the Mangalore tiles for roofing which have been
            existing in the old structure have been retained.
            Most of the wooden elements like columns, rafters,
            purlins and shuttered windows and doors have been
            retrofitted.  The interiors  have been emphasized
            with wooden elements as the old structure was built
            with wooden craft and joinery. The outdoor space
            of the museum is designed with granite seaters,
            planters, stone sculptures, cast iron benches by
            incorporating the trees located in the site.




            Materials retrieved:


            •  90% of terracotta tiles has been retained
            •  80% of wooden elements has been retained
            •  15% - 20% of the roof tiles has been replaced      Proposed plan of Museum with landscape intervention.
