PASSIVE VENTILATION STRATEGY FOR CLIMATIC DESIGN
Cross-section showing airflow Terracotta Jaali Section and Façade Detail
The jaali, used as a passive design feature, serves not only as an efficient climate control element but also holds cultural
significance. Jaalis reduce solar glare and facilitate breeze and ventilation through their perforated skins. Besides their functional
aspects, their modularity have allowed us to use them as unique elements for façade design.
