Independence Day Celebrations 2025

Independence Day 2025 was celebrated with
vibrant "Har Ghar Tiranga" festivities at the
India Habitat Centre. The event featured a
kiosk inaugurated by Shri Srinivas Katikithala,
Secretary, MoHUA. The venue was adorned
with tricolour decorations, and selfie points
were set up to encourage visitors to capture
their 'Har Ghar Tiranga' moments. HUDCO
distributed over 10,000 national flags through
the kiosk and its regional offices across India,
promoting widespread public participation in
the campaign. The event underscored the
importance of the national flag as a symbol of
freedom, identity, unity, and honour, as
emphasized by Secretary MoHUA during his
address.
In the run up to the independence day
celebrations, HUDCO organized several
competitions to engage the community and
foster a spirit of patriotism. These included
patriotic song and poetry performances, a
"Letter to India" writing contest, a quiz
competition, crossword and a craft making
competition titled 'Best from Waste'.
Employees showcased their creativity and
enthusiasm, contributing to the celebratory
atmosphere and the winners received the
award from Secretary, MoHUA in the presence
of HUDCO's senior management.
