roperty Tax is one of the major sources of income for an Urban
PLocal Body. Due to improper levy, the ULBs are generally not in
a position tomitigate to meet the mandatory provisions. As per the
norms, the ULBs are supposed to revise the tax every five years.
To increase the revenue of the ULB and make it self-sufficient, it is
important to find out un-assessed and under assessed properties,
so that the resources are charged fairly. The Commissioner &
Directorate of Municipal Administration (C&DMA), Government
of Telangana has undertaken the project of GIS based revenue
improvement in ULBs to achieve the revenue improvement by
improving the property tax coverage.
