RAJA SHANKAR SHAH KUNWAR RAGHUNATH SHAH TRIBAL FREEDOM FIGHTERS MUSEUM, JABALPUR
Raja Shankar Shah Kunwar Raghunath Shah Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, Jabalpur pays homage to warriors who bravely
resisted British oppression in the Gondwana region. Housed in the District Forest Office(DFO) building, it honours Raja Shankar
Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah, offering a comprehensive narrative of their contributions. Born in 1789, Raja Shankar Shah,
a skilled archer, formed the Gontiya Dal, engaging in guerilla warfare and becoming crown prince at tender age of just 16. In
1857, he along with his son, united regional kings against the British oppression, but a colonial conspiracy led to their arrest
and execution on September 18, 1858. The museum aims to unveil hidden facets of their bravery, ensuring their illuminated
             legacy endures forever.
