BEFORE AND AFTER CONSERVATION
Encompassing site area of 4538 sqm, the DFO building, characterized by its colonial-style architecture, stood as a single-
storey structure with a distinctive height of 10m. Positioned slightly off-centered on the site, it boasted a unique design
featuring a pitched roof in the central hall, jack arch ceilings with skylights in two side halls, and a wooden ceiling on the east
side. Original elements like the red sandstone flooring added to its historical appeal. However, the passage of time had left its
mark on the building, as various alterations and additions were made over the years, impacting its original historic character.
