PLANNING OBJECTIVES
• To set back the building in
order to create a strong
public realm along the street
with a public plaza.
• The innovative design
focuses on light steel frame
canopy structure that has
been uniquely designed
representing the Warli art
culture of the tribal areas of
Silvassa from where most of
the vendors belong.
• To design a space with a
canopy to recreate the
experience of a tree foliage
that binds the formal & informal
market to create an extension
of the public realm.
• To design a space that is
barrier free and accessible for
all age groups.
• To serve the site as a multi-
functional space to create
active street edge.
• To design a naturally
ventilated space with the use
of building materials such as
breeze blocks.
