ASSISTED LIVING
The assisted living spaces have been designed in a closed loop, spilling out into a wide garden space
in front. This encourages the residents to come out of their confinement, and inculcate a sense of
positivity, which automatically comes with exposure to nature. The living spaces all have a window
that faces the outside space, which will give the residents a visual connect with the community
outside, even if they are unable to physically venture outside. The roof has been designed with
clerestory lighting, to invite maximum natural lighting into the home.

The form was developed to be a closed shape to cater to the residents with mental issues like
dementia , who would find it difficult to remember how to navigate through complicated corridors.
All the different spaces provided can be seen from any point in the central area. The houses are also
only at ground level, to ensure maximum convenience for the users.
