AIM & SCOPE OF THE PROJECT


             INI team, along with structural  consultants  like
             Genstru Consultants and CBM Engineers, Project
             Implementation  Unit  (PIU), and State Public
             Works Department (PWD), undertook exhaustive
             studies of local geographical, climatic, economic,
             socio-cultural, & infrastructural factors, soliciting
             insights from diverse stakeholders and invested
             institutions  like  CBRI,  Roorkee, IIT  (BHU),
             VNIT, Nagpur, among others. Examination
             of   geo-environmental    and   developmental
             aspects  including topography, soil integrity,
             hydrology, slope orientation, vegetation cover,
             accessibility, flood risk, and visual prominence,
             along with avalanche studies by the Defence
             Geoinformatics Research Establishment (DGRE),
             facilitated  a nuanced understanding  of the
             existing landscape, informing the development of
             precise mapping through advanced technologies
             such as point  cloud drone surveys, GIS, Civil
             3D, and Revit.
             A comprehensive array  of maps delineating
             area characteristics, hazard potentials, access
             strategies, disaster preparedness, and resilience
             plans were developed. The collaborative efforts
             of  stakeholders,  authorities, & government
             bodies were an  embodiment  of  collective
             consciousness,  a realization that Kedarpuri’s
             revival was a shared responsibility.
             Phase 1, comprising of five projects worth INR
             225 crores, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime
             Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 5th November
             2021.  Phase 2 and 3 are  ongoing,  and are
             estimated  to be completed  by September,
             2024.
