NUMBER OF PEOPLE AGED 60+ YEARS
The size and percentage of elderly population have been increasing in recent years and it is likely to continue in the coming years too. By 2050, the sect
is estimated to increase by three times. Declining fertility, reduction in mortality and increasing survival at older ages are the three
key factor contributing to population ageing. The demographic shift will result in an increasing need of well-designed spaces for this growing
population offering them the needed comfort and other medical and healthcare facilities.
