MICRO CLIMATE
The building should be oriented on the east-west axis. The
longer facade should face north and south to reduce expo-
sure from the sun. The design should be broadly spaced
for breeze penetration with protection from cold and
dusty hot winds. Corridors should be single banked
with windows facing the north and south walls. To
ensure air movement and ample cross ven-
tilation, openings should be made
on the west facade. Walls,
floors, and roofs should
have substantial ther-
mal capacity.

Bhopal, the city of lakes, is located on the malwa plateau region and has a mean elevation of 527 m with small peripheral hills. The selected site has a gradual
slope with minimal vegetation present. It has direct access to transportation facilities like bus stops and railway stations. Soil type is composite, a mix of
deep medium black soil and a slight chunk of red soil. There is no existing flora on the site.
