PRECAST ELEMENTS
The designed well foundation is broken down into precast elements
: Well rings, Column footings, connecting beams, and slab. The
dimension of each is calibrated in such a way that it can be carried
by 4-6 labourers, as most of the site didn’t have any access by
land. We had to depend on local wooden boats for transportation.
Modular construction elements using precast as technology meant,
we could lower the construction cost. This can be more efficient
when the number of units involved goes higher.
