INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE PACKAGE OF ABD AREA OF UDAIPUR CITY
Following are the few prominent area of focus of the best
practice:
A. WATER SUPPLY: The project has ensured 24x7 water
supply to households in the ABD area, enhancing per capita
water supply to 135 lpcd by replacing the age-old water
distribution system.
B. SEWERAGE NETWORK: The project rehabilitated the
aged sewerage network and laid an 82-kilometer-long
sewerage network in the walled city area. Additionally, it
provided sewerage house service connections (HSC) to
25,000 households.
C. HYGIENE: The project prioritizes hygiene in the old city
by efficiently disposing of storm water, with the construction
of 95 km of stormwater drainage.
D. ROAD RELAYING: The project emphasizes widening
city roads by removing illegal encroachments and installing
underground drainage systems to alleviate traffic congestion
in the old city area.
E. UTILITY DUCT: A key focus is on averting accidents such
as electrical faults, fires, and vehicle incidents by relocating
overhead power, internet, and other cables into underground
ducts. The project also aims to reduce frequent road digging
for new services by providing access to ducts for other
service providers.
F. SCADA System for Monitoring: The Supervisory Control
and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, commissioned for water
supply, sewerage, and power distribution, concentrates on
real-time network monitoring and fault detection, ensuring
operational efficiency.
